So What's YOUR Favorite
California Wine?

3 wine glasses filled with wine

Mmm...California Wine!

California is the largest wine growing state in the United States. Today, there are more than 2,100 wineries producing many different types of wine, from ordinary table wines to fine wines that have gained worldwide recognition.

Slightly sweet wines such as White Grenache, White Merlot and White Zinfandel remain big sellers in America, but more and more wine lovers are embracing California Roses.

With all the different types of wine out there, it can become a little confusing when choosing a wine.

Types of California Wine:

White Wine

Red Wine

Table Wine

Dessert Wine

Aperitif - The appetizer drink

Chardonnay

Ice Wine

Organic Wine

Cheap Wine

Box Wine

Oak Leaf Wine

Charles Shaw - Two Buck Chuck

Three Wishes Wine

Merlot Grapes..
Table Wine...
From the beginning...
Pinot Grigio Grapes..
Desert Wine..

Wine is the fermented juice of wine grapes. Wine fermented without the skin, becomes white wine. If wine is fermented with the skin, it becomes red wine.

What is Tannin? And what’s the difference between Varietal and Variety?

What does Varietal mean?...

California Vineyard..

Whatever Wine Region in California you end up in, you won't be disappointed. They are all beautiful in my opinion.

But I do have to say, if you haven't visited Napa yet, put it on your bucket list. It's like the "Hollywood" of wine country!

Chardonnay..

So what's my favorite Cali Wine? Anybody that knows me, knows its Chardonnay. Yep, that's usually my first choice. It's the most popular and best-selling wine in California, for good reason. It goes with so many different foods and has a pretty mellow taste.

Wine and food pairing is a balancing act, an art rather than an exact science. You want to balance flavors, rather than over-power them. A delicate dish should be matched with a subtle wine and a hearty meal with a sturdier wine.

A great way to try different types of wine is to join a wine club. Selecting a decent bottle of wine from thousands of pretty labels with prices ranging from $5-$35 or more is difficult. Wine Clubs take the head-ache out of it.

I've done a lot of research to find the best wine clubs on the internet and I'm going to share them with you, so here they are:

Cellars Wine Club...

Cellars Wine Club has a variety of different clubs. Choose from Single-Bottle Clubs to Case Clubs! I created a whole page explaining the different clubs they offer, just click on the Cellars Wine Club link or the picture to the left to read more about this club.

The California Wine Club..

The California Wine Club Each and every wine they select comes from a real working winery and is backed by their 100% guarantee.

Please, Please, Please! Just one last note on Calif Wine. If you are going to drink, PLEASE don’t drive! Just Don't be a Dumb-Ass!

So What's Your Favorite
California Wine?

Wow! With so many to choose from, it can be hard to decide. Do you like Red or White? So what's my favorite? You probably already know from reading above, its Chardonnay! My two favs are Edna Valley from San Luis Obispo and Sterling from Napa.
