Things to do in Redondo Beach

There is always something happening on the Redondo Pier. Lots of dining options to fit every budget. Tony's on the Pier was established in 1952, El Torito has been there since 1972 and Breakwall and Maison Riz are the latest restaurant additions. Happy Hours are featured most everyday at several of these places.

Live music? You bet! The pier is home to live music venues and Summer of Music, the biggest free summer concert series in the South Bay.

The Redondo Pier is also home to a 16 and a half foot great white shark called Georgette on display in a large tank at Shark Attack on the Pier. You can also experience a trip aboard the nearby semi-submersible yellow submarine featuring large glass outer windows on the lower deck for underwater viewing of the local sea life, play one of the many classic arcade games or take a spin on tilt-a-whirl. Enjoy a day of fishing or test your balance on a stand-up paddleboard or surfboard.

Rent a bike from Marina Bike Rentals. They are located at 505 North Harbor Drive in Redondo Beach. You can call ahead of time to 310-318-2453.

The Sea Lab is a great place for families with young kids. Its very educational in a casual atmosphere, its free, small and has a touch tank where kids get to see, touch and learn about local sea life.

Seaside Lagoon is a large saltwater lagoon that offers trained lifeguards. Besides swimming, the Lagoon offers Children's play equipment, a large sand area for sunbathing,  snack bar facilities provided by Ruby's Restaurant and volleyball courts. There is also a grassed area and luau shelter for day and evening events.

Looking Glass Tours - a semi-submersible underwater viewing boat. Hop on one of these at 150 International Boardwalk or call 310-909-3179 for more information.
