Places to stay

The best way to find a place to stay in the area you're looking for is to compare these two travel sites. They both comb through 100s of booking sites across the net to find the best deals possible.

Click on each link, enter your desired destination and traveling dates. Also, its so important to read the reviews for each hotel you are interested in. Just because the picture might look nice, doesn't mean it is!

I highly recommend staying at the

Terranea Resort.

I stayed here for a girls weekend, we got a two bedroom suite with a kitchen, living room and two out-door patio areas. The views are amazing and the grounds are kept super clean. This is a luxury resort and I can't wait to go back!

Things to do

Glass Church / Wayfarers Chapel was designed by Lloyd Wright, the son of Frank Lloyd Wright. Beautiful setting with great vistas of coastline. Lovely gardens and lawns surrounded by mature trees. This is a very popular spot for weddings so if there is a wedding in progress, your access to the chapel will be limited. Located at 5755 S. Palos Verdes Dr. at Barkantine St.  (310)377-1650

The Point Vicente Interpretive Center is an ideal whale-watching spot. Its a natural history museum open daily from 10am to 5pm year-round with extended summer hours. 31501 Palos Verdes Drive West

Abalone Cove Shoreline Park & Ecological Reserve is a fun way to spend an afternoon. A somewhat challenging hike down to the tidepools, but so many sea stars, urchins and all sorts of creatures. And gorgeous scenery too! You must go at low-tide! 5970 Palos Verdes Drive South

Trump National Golf Club - I am not a golfer but I hear this is a pretty tough course due to the wind. Magnificently manicured facility all the way around with an excellent restaurant. One Ocean Trails Drive

Point Vicente Lighthouse is a great location for taking pictures, beautiful views and plenty of parking. Little museum only open on the second Saturday of every month except March. 31550 Palos Verdes Drive
